2020 Season Opening — Annual Meeting at 10 am June 27

PFLA will officially open the season on Saturday June 27 and with the COVID-19 situation, many things will be adjusted but we are still excited to come together for a fun summer.

PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING! We know it is hard to see people you love and have not seen for months, but please respect the need to stay 6 feet apart and wear a mask. There will be wipes and spray bottles in the beach shed, bathrooms and shuffleboard equipment shed so please take the time to wipe down anything you use.

There will be regular updates in the Spray and the weekly Spritz so please pay attention to those for late breaking news.

The Annual Meeting with be held at the center at 10 am on Saturday June 27. The Annual Reports and instructions were emails to members. Please only send 1 member from your membership. We will try to keep the meeting brief and the agenda limited to just the details needing member attention right now.

Opening Day Picnic and Route 191

Hi all,

This is just a reminder that our Opening Day Picnic is next Saturday, June 22 at 5:30 in the field next to the Adult Lounge.Bill Simolike and Mark Knaus will be  cooking the burgers and hot dogs, and taking care of the sodas, paper plates, napkins and cutlery.  If you are planning on attending, and I hope you do, please bring a dish with enough food for 12 people.  Non-meat contributions are preferred.  As an alternative, you can bring a dessert.

If you haven’t been up to PF yet, you may not know that a portion of Route 191 is closed due to repair work on the bridge where Routes 447 and 191 separate, near to Mary Ann’s Ice Cream stand, where Route 447 goes north to Canadensis. Travelers are being detoured though Canadensis, although there are better ways to travel if you know the back roads.  If you are traveling to PF from the east, you can use use the back roads, or use Route 715 from Route 611 or I-80.

Finally, this past Saturday I emailed to you information for the Annual Meeting, being held next Saturday.  Please let me know if you did not receive it and I will forward it on to you.

Have a great weekend.

Special notice:  If you know of anyone without email, please share this information with them.  Also, please let me know if you change your mailing list, and if you know of a member that is not on the email distribution list, but wants to be..
